In this role you will add value to PXP by:
Being a key member of one of many scrum teams you will design and implement highly complex and exciting projects on the PXP Payment platform covering gateway and acquiring services, across several verticals. In addition, you will support production incidents, compliancy changes, operational improvements and contribute to technical debt items as part of our continuous improvement programme. All this in a fast-paced environment delivering value to our customer base every two weeks through our CI/CD process.
A typical week as a Software Engineer might involve:
• Analyze functional requirements (together with Test Engineers), draft technical solutions and estimate the implementation effort.
• Design and implement technical solutions for new features supported by automated unit (ATDD/TDD) & integration tests (BDD).
• Evaluate the results of automated software test executions, troubleshoot and fix the failed tests keeping our CI in a continuous healthy state.
• Participating in design and code reviews (co-reviewer, author or observer).
• 3rd level support for production incidents.
• Participating and contributing to all Scrum ceremonies (sprint planning, refinements, review, and retrospective events)
• Release support, incident-related RCA and bug fixing.
We are looking for someone who:
• 3 years of .NET C# software development
• Bachelor/Masters degree in IT/Computer Science or equivalent work experience.
• Good knowledge, understanding and practical experience with SOLID and OOP principles, software design patterns, test–driven and behavioural-driven development.
• Understanding of lean/agile principles in the context of software development (e.g. Scrum).
• Detailed knowledge in at least one relevant technology (e.g. Asp .NET MVC, Asp .NET WebAPI, etc.) and basic understanding/knowledge in others.
• Excellent command of the English language (speaking, writing).
• Very good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
