Pateplay is a new software development company in the iGaming sector. Our main office is in Sofia and we are prepared to provide plenty of browser games which are going to change the players’ experience. The company came to the market with seasoned professionals, with considerable background in the area, who knows its DNA and its psychology.

Currently, the company is building its core software development and R&D teams and planning to expand its presence over the globe. We set goals for growth that are interconnected with the personal development plans of our people and setting limits is not our taste. We’re in search for

Senior Back-end Node.js/TypeScript Developers with a passion for creating web-based gaming products. We will welcome new joiners with server development experience.

The desirable candidates:

• 3+ years of experience with NodeJS and TypeScript for back-end server-side APIs
• Solid knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming, SOLID and design patterns, service-oriented architecture
• Advanced MySQL skills
• Experience with unit and integration tests (Jest or similar)
• Understanding of WebSockets
• Experience with Git, Confluence, Jira
• Knowledge of different techniques that optimize the application performance
• No fear to confess what you don’t know (but want to learn it)
• Courage to dig, dig and dig with a thirst for becoming better
• Interest in game development
• Feeling of comfort to speak and write in English
• Considered a plus will be any experience/knowledge in:
  • Concurrency and distributed systems
  • Understanding of security principles
  • Redis

Your days with us will look like

• Jump onto existing and new product projects
• Implement new backend features and components, as well as maintain the current ones, including custom components and libraries
• Be an active part of the entire development process by participating in the planning and estimatаtion of development activities
• Investigate how we can improve our work, our games, our code
• Troubleshoot problems and debug
• Ensure optimal performance of our central database
• Build high-performance applications, implement security protocols, data protection measures and storage solutions
• Collaborate with Front-end Developers, QAs, Product Managers, Designers, 2D Animators, CTO to define and implement requirements
• Thrive in Kanban environment
• We love automations, so you will work on such as well (Webpack)
• Use Webstorm in your daily work
