Scrum Master
Job Description
Communication:
- Assist with internal and external communication, improving transparency, and radiating information
- Communicate and support overall organizational goals in different forums
- Works with management to communicate overall progress
- Create an environment that empowers and energizes team members, with a focus on accountability, adaptability, and collaboration
Coaching
- Coach teams and management towards improving Agile process and metrics
- Evaluate and mentor existing Scrum teams
- Coach teams and product owners in user story creation/prioritization and product Backlog grooming/refinement via emergent requirement elicitation
- Accountable for Coaching the organization on Scaled Agile(SAFe®) practices.
- Coach the development teams and stakeholders on how to apply SAFe® and Scrum practices to improve effectiveness and quality.
Process Optimization
- Capture feedback and continuously improve enterprise Agile guidance, training materials and content
- Assist the development process through the use of resource estimates, scheduling, and deadlines by providing coaching on Lean-Agile principles
- Work collaboratively with Product Owners, cross-functional development teams, and Project Managers to support development and frequent software delivery
- Recommend improvements and drive adoption of best practices
- Adapt approach based on cultural shifts and regulatory requirements
Qualifications
- Thorough understanding of agile software development methodologies, values, and procedures
- Must be self-motivated as well as creative and efficient in proposing solutions to complex, time-critical problems
- Data driven analysis skills for measuring and managing delivery
- Ability to understand and communicate technical issues
- Highly adaptable to changing environment
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with diverse teams
- Coach needs to have situational awareness with an understanding of when to listen and when to be assertive.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills with a high attention to detail
- Excellent team player with the ability to influence and negotiate
- 3+ years of ScrumMaster experience
- 2+ years of Agile Coaching experience
Nice to have qualifications and certifications:
- Understanding of Automotive engineering process (ASPICE)
- Experience working with an agile methodology on large scale, technically complex projects
- Ability to deal with multiple teams
- Scrum Master certification (PSM, PMI-ACP, SAFe)
