TSD is looking to hire Mid-level Application Support Engineer to help with the support, administration and maintenance of business-critical applications for one of our main US-based clients in the financial industry.

 

Job Role

The primary focus of this position is to provide support for business-critical applications and tools, maintain their availability, monitor the environments and perform deployment, maintenance and optimization requests. These activities require frequent communication with related internal and external parties both verbally and written. Incoming workloads are received through an internal ticketing system and their implementation is done in line with pre-defined change, request and incident management processes.

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Handling team ticket queues for requests, incidents and change requests.
  • Investigation, troubleshooting and RCA for issues related with business applications.
  • Providing support to both internal and external technical teams.
  • Handling of code deployments via Octo Deploy.
  • Perform health checks of the business environment.
  • Monitor and maintain application availability, including backend infrastructure.
  • Configure backend infrastructure for newly developed applications.
  • Support both production and non-production environments.
  • Properly document standard processes and technical efforts.

Job Requirements

  • Excellent communication skills – written and verbal in both Bulgarian and English languages.
  • Good documentation skills – ability to produce quality documents and updates to tasks.
  • Good understanding of Microsoft-based environments.
  • Good understanding of how software systems work.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in the IT Operations field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience with Microsoft-based systems, Windows server. (2012 and up) and desktop OS (XP, 7, 8, 10, 11), Microsoft products and practices.
  • Experience with IIS-based applications.
  • Experience with SQL is a plus.
  • Understanding of DNS, DHCP, basic networking.
  • Understanding of virtual technologies.
  • Experience with PowerShell or other CLIs.
  • Experience with hybrid infrastructure is a plus (on-prem to Azure).
  • Experience with automation is a plus.
