The Role:

Based in the IT Team, the Finance Systems Manager will own responsibility for supporting all finance systems.

Key duties and responsibilities:

  • Manage and improve BAU support to the business on finance systems whilst transformation project is underway. Ensuring optimal scoping of projects, allocation of work and timely delivery of robust solutions;
  • Ownership of all post-transformation finance system solutions, processes, and applications;
  • With the Senior Finance Team and IT, ensure the financial systems and infrastructure are fit for purpose both now and when taking account of strategic growth and diversification plans;
  • Ensure the finance systems & infrastructure enable and empower the finance function to complete all deliverables with a high-level of accuracy, insight, and efficiency, with a focus on eliminating manual work at every step;
  • Support delivery of future integration/migration of businesses acquired/disposed of, by organization in or out of the group’s financial systems & infrastructure;
  • Develop, manage, and transform the remotely based finance systems team to deliver the highest quality support to the finance community and all business;
  • Proactively look for opportunities to make incremental enhancements and improvements to current and future finance systems, reporting and data analytics capabilities;
  • Drive increased efficiency and productivity across finance via overhauling and modernization systems and processes;
  • You’ll drive the continuous improvement of the group’s financial systems and analytics capabilities, to make them better, simpler, and easier to use;
  • Support various projects related to finance systems;
  • Hands on in supporting all aspects of Financial Force, Concur, Prophix and Blackline;
  • You’ll have experience in supporting or developing complex billing systems for a global organization.

Experience and skills:

  • Extensive experience of supporting Financial Force / Salesforce, Concur, Prophix;
  • Experience with analytics tools such as Tableau, QlikView or Power BI;
  • PM and BA Qualifications, preferably a qualified / QBE accountant with experience in a large, dynamic organization;
  • Proven track record in delivering systems;
  • Experience with system integration, improvement, and modernization;
  • You will have developed business partnering relationships at a senior level within an organization;
  • Driving change, improvement and challenge through an organization or department;
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and a proven track record of vendor management;
  • Commercially astute with a high level of analytical skills and focused on adding value;
  • Great at building strong, effective working relationships and stakeholder management;
  • Ability to get both the big picture and the detail;
  • Strong technical skills and knowledge;
  • Robust, with high levels of personal resilience and capable of working in a demanding, fast-paced, and dynamic environment;
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills;
  • Great at interaction at all levels, internally and externally;
  • Great people leadership and management skills;
  • Willing to see and do things differently and able to drive change;
  • Positive, pro-active, and hard-working.
